HS Football: Delta moves on to the Championship

Delta pays a visit to basalt, a 9-seed. The Panthers begin with the kickoff but the ball slips right through Basalts' hands and Delta get the ball back. That will lead to a Panther field goal and a 3-0 lead.

It was a slow-paced game as yards were hard to come by. 3-0 Delta, a punt for the Panthers and it falls out of Basalts' hands again and Delta recovers. The Panthers were able to get into the endzone and it's 10-0.

In the second, the Longhorns were finally able to get on the board, with a touchdown by Rulbe Alvarado but they miss the extra point, 10-6.

Quarterback, Nolan Bynum, threw two interceptions, but in the 4th, Bynum managed to get one more TD for security, caught by Hunter Hughes.

17-6 is the final. Delta will be heading to the championship game to face 2-seeded, Sterling. They will play on Saturday, November 30. Time and place are yet to be announced.
