HS Softball: Central is eliminated from Regionals

The first game didn't go the Warriors way. they faced Ralston Valley, falling, 7-4. The Mustangs had an early 4-0 lead in the 4th. The Warriors came back in the 7th scoring all four runs but it was a little too late.

The second game was a different story. They faced Windsor, a team that entered the tournament at an even 12-12 record. The Warriors led 6-0 in the 3rd inning when the Wizards came back with five runs but the Warriors were able to hold it down with a win, 8-5.

Game 3 was where it all came to an end. Central had a rematch against Ralston Valley, this time it wasn't a close game. The Mustangs were a hitting machine. They hit two 2-run home runs in the first three innings. The warriors couldn't do much about the home runs but they did make fundamental errors that cost them unearned runs.

Warriors fall, 15 -5. They close their season, (22-4) overall and (8-0) in League.

Fruita also made the first round of playoffs but also fell, losing 2 of 3 games.
