DENVER (KKCO/KJCT)-- The time has finally come, Pat Bowlen and former cornerback, Champ Bailey, have been selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Bowlen bought the Broncos in 1984. In his 35 seasons as owner, the Broncos have made 18 playoff appearances, 13 division titles and three world championships. In July of 2014, Bowlen announced he had Alzheimer's disease.
Bailey is the first defensive player in franchise history to be selected to the Hall of Fame. Bailey played ten seasons in Denver and five with the Washington Redskins eventually retiring as a Bronco in 2015. In his time, he was selected to 12 Pro Bowls.
This is the first time, multiple Broncos have been elected in the same year. they will be officially inducted in August in Canton, Ohio.
