CMU Men's Basketball: Mav's recover from poor first half, defeat Western 71-49
After trailing 28-24 a half, CMU scored 47 points in the second half to get past Western, 71-49.
The Mavericks end 2019 on a three game win streak with an unbalanced performance at home. In the first half, CMU shot 35% from the field and went 1-8 from beyond the arc. After the Mavs took a 13-8 lead, they went the next 10 minutes without a point.
CMU flipped the script in the second half shooting 63% from the field. They were also flawless from the charity stripe going 6-6.
The Mavericks head into the new year with an 8-3 record, 4-1 in conference play. They will travel to South Dakota January 3 and 4 to take on South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State, respectively
