40th Annual Home Improvement and Remodeling Expo

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The largest home improvement and remodeling expo in Western Colorado is taking place March 6th to 8th at Two Rivers Convention Center.

This year’s show features 90 different vendors and activities for people of all ages. There will also be seminars to get tips on remodeling every area in your home.

Last year, 5300 people attended the expo, that's a 17% increase from 2013. Saturday is expected to be the busiest day of the three-day event.

This event is one of the biggest home improvement expos of the western slope, bringing in people from the Front Range, Utah, and residents of the Grand Valley.

“I come every year. There’s always something new that you can try out and I’m always looking to improve my home and my yard so I’m just anxious to see what’s new,” said homeowner, Linda Hildebrand.

In addition to the 131 booths, there will also be a free custom home tour, with nine different homes located throughout the Valley, where you can check out the latest and newest trends and technology in home building.

“They don’t have to drive all over town and ask builders, subcontractors, and that kind of thing for information on their project. They can come here, everything is in one location,” said Traci Weinbrecht, with the House and Building Association of Northwestern Colorado.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door: $5 for adults, $3 for seniors (55+), and kids 12 and under get in for free!
