PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO) -- Food, wine and flame-igniting cocktails; the Wine Country Inn hosted the annual Edesia Food & Wine Festival.

"This is a kick-off to the good food, wine and spirits celebrations, here in Palisade," said April Nichols of The Wine Country Inn.

Edesia is a community event with a cause; it benefits the Marillac Clinic, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the valley.

"We've been providing primary care, dental care, optical care for the low income and uninsured in our community," says Kristy Schmidt of the Marillac Clinic.

The event was named after Edesia, the Greek Goddess of wine and food.

Three celebrity chefs from Aspen and Denver and a local chef from The Wine Country Inn were at the event to prepare food for the guests.

Local attendees were enjoying the food, wine and mixology cocktails.

"I always supported this event, and it's always fun to come out and drink good wine and have great food and enjoy yourself with friends," said local Cassidee Shull.

If you didn't make it out to the event this year, The Wine Country Inn, wants you to mark your calendars for next year.

"This is the 3rd, it is not the last, this is the 3rd annual so please do plan on the 4th annual- come out to see us," said April Nichols.
