GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. A woman riding her bike on Sunday night was hit by a white Subaru and then robbed by a man who fled on foot.

Just before 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night the female victim was riding her bike near the intersection of Gunnison Avenue and North 25th street when she was struck by a white Subaru, which then fled the area.

Then a man approximately six feet tall with a medium build, brown hair, and dark clothing stole her purse.

In a release sent out early Monday morning, the GJPD says that the man who took the woman's purse and phone was believed to be "associated with the involved vehicle." As of Monday morning, the GJPD has not determined if the man who committed the robbery was the driver of the car, or if he was associated with the white Subaru in some other way.

The case is still under investigation.
