PEAR PARK, Colo. (KKCO) - The Mesa County Sheriff's Office has confirmed to 11 News that a suspect has been arrested in connection to a mass stabbing that sent five people to the hospital.
Officials are not releasing the suspect's name at this time and say further information will be released Wednesday.
The incident happened in the early morning hours of July 4 in the 3100 block of Perkins Drive. Witnesses say a man walked into a 4th of July party taking place at home there and began attacking people with a knife and a hammer.
Five people were rushed to the hospital -- four with stab wounds and one that was hit in the head with a hammer. All of them survived.
