Skate and art competition benefits local art organization

Grand Junction, COLO. West Lake Skate Park was filled with hundreds of skaters and artists who gathered for a special event that gives back to our community.

They went out for the Ninth Annual Super Rad Mural and Skate Jam. Skaters and artists competed for cash prizes. The artists spray painted different walls, and the skating competition was divided by beginners, intermediate, and an advanced category – bringing people from all ages and experience to the event. Super Rad Art Jam helps support art education.

“We do all kinds of different things throughout the community, we do a lot of classes, we also do a lot art shows for the high school students and the middle school students,” said Jason Bradham, with Super Rad Art Jam.

The public also got to enjoy live music and chalk art. All the money from t-shirts and spray paint sales went back to the Super Rad Art Jam organization.
